Ye mere vatan ke logo, Jara aakh me bharlo pani, Jo Shaheed hue hai unki, Jara yaad karo kurbani.

This song resonates deeply with all of us, reminding us of the brave souls who sacrificed their lives for our freedom and safety. Even today, countless courageous individuals continue to make sacrifices to protect and uphold the integrity of our motherland.

Today, on Shaheed Diwas, we commemorate the sacrifice of three extraordinary revolutionaries of India: Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar.

On this solemn occasion, we revisit an inspiring story with you. On December 28, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru conspired to assassinate Superintendent of Police James Scott in Lahore as a retaliation for the death of nationalist leader Lala Lajpat Rai. However, in a tragic turn, they mistakenly shot John Saunders. Following this, Singh fled to Calcutta to evade arrest.

Subsequently, Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt hurled bombs in Delhi’s Central Assembly Hall, shouting “Inquilab Zindabad!” They were arrested, and on March 23, 1931, these three heroes of the independence movement were hanged to death. (Sources: HT)

This Shaheed Diwas, let us not forget the sacrifices of our heroes. Let us keep the flame of patriotism alive in our hearts and contribute in every way possible to the development and well-being of our nation. Each one of us has the power to take our country forward.
