ISRO’s Pushpak ‘Viman’ is poised to revolutionise space exploration.

Chennai, March 22 (IANS) India moved a step closer to realising a Reusable Launch Vehicle (RLV)/rocket termed ‘Pushpak’ by successfully test landing RLV LEX-2 on Friday at the Aeronautical Test Range (ATR) in Chitradurga, Karnataka.

The successful landing experiment of RLV LEX-02 by ISRO marks a milestone in reusable launch vehicle technology. The mission replicated high-speed landing conditions for an RLV returning from orbit, showing its autonomous landing capability. ISRO revalidated its navigation, control, and landing gear technology. The mission, completed by VSSC, LPSC, and IISU, builds on the success of RLV-LEX-01 by demonstrating the reusability of flight hardware and systems. ISRO hopes that these developments will allow for low-cost access to space.
